There is a liquid, a very special liquid
...which is located in the centre of the central kingdom of the world. This fluid, although in clear sight and most of the time plain and safe, can on its day be the most amazing creation in the whole world.
You see this fluid is harmless most of the time and many people will regularly drink it, paddle in it or even swim blissfully unaware that nearly every three centuries things are very different for two hours on the 11th April. This is because on this day, exactly two hundred and ninety-five years after the last occasion, the water changes to into an amazing formula. For the hour between midnight and one on the 11th April the liquid becomes a fluid that if drunk or even touched by any human will fill their soul with the essence of pure evil. Then, on the strike of one, the liquid will change to the essence of pure righteousness and do exactly the same to the soul of the drinker, paddler or swimmer until the time strikes two o'clock.
At the moment there are only two people in the world who know about this unbelievable lake. They are two ancient men who live at the opposite corners of the world. For over two thousand years they have been collecting from the incredible water at the right time on that day. One collects in the first hour, whilst the other does the same in the second. To obtain the mixture both the men have special cups that their mentor gave to them when they were his students, all those thousands of years ago. The two devotees then dispense this formula over the next two hundred and ninety-five years to those humans that they recognise as having the traits that would fully utilize the power of righteousness or totally exploit the power of immorality.
So over the last two millenniums a select few men and women have been met in the night whilst asleep by one of these diminutive figures and have been given a sip from the special cup to provide them with the power to fulfil their ultimate purpose.
Although these two ancient men live so far away from each other, it is not due to hatred from either to the other. In fact, the two disciples are allies just carrying out the wishes of their mentor. By doing these two particular jobs both men are doing their masters work of highlighting to the whole world the huge spectrum of humanity.
You see the mixture is used on both accounts to provide the world with extreme examples of pure hatred and pure heroism. This is done so that the generations that follow the actions of one of these chosen few can use their actions to reflect on the direction and beliefs of their society. Thus, if the course towards peace and harmony has been shifted, then there is time for that society to revert back to their underlying principles of care and freedom before those essential features of humanity are completely lost.
